Mid Week Post
My apologies that this is late. Sunday was a long day for me as I paid a visit to the ER. I have the day off today and thought I’d take the time to update my story. Since it is late gave you an additional 4 chapters. Look for the next post on Sunday.
Big Changes
Hello again, just wanted to take a minute to stop and let you know of some changes to the page. First I’ve added the next four chapters to Rogue Hunter. Second the short stories for Mantle of the Gods have been pulled from the site as they have been published on amazon in a printed collection with two additional stories. Beyond that book two in the trilogy entitled Unmasking the Truth is also available for sale. I hope you’ll check it out.

The Joys of Updates
It seems like every once in a while whenever a system or program has an update it ends up messing up your settings instead. So rather than say, posting on the Social Medias as it’s supposed to it flat out doesn’t do it. Very annoying. here’s hoping the newest update as resolved this issue.
Anyway, Chapter 11 has been posted on JukePopSerials.com for Hidden Mystique so please check it out. It also has a brand new cover art which matches quite well with the series.
March Already
So I’m sitting here this morning with disbelief it’s already March. More shocking is that it’s colder now here than it was in January. Sorry this is late. I will try to get the next four chapters to you next week on time. For now here are chapters 13-16 for Rogue Hunter. I hope you like them. Keeping It Short
Things have been crazy the past two weeks and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change any time soon. So here’s Episode 26 of Spartans: The AWOL Squad. Enjoy, and I will try to find more time to write post later in the week.
Getting Back on Track
To say my train had gotten derailed would be an understatement. This is equally true of biting off more than I could chew. What I thought was going to be an easy to stick to writing schedule was a much like the cake; a lie. I first got mixed up with which story was supposed to be undated when. Then I became overwhelmed as more projects landed in my lap, some of which I’ve been working on for some time plus some family situations which included taking Zidane to the vet. Don’t worry, he’s fine outside of being angry with having to take medication everyday which requires for him to get picked up which he hates, but he’ll get over it. So the new schedule is by the end of this month for next Sunday’s update will be the long awaited chapter 11 of Hidden Mystique posted on the JukePop Serials site. I will also unveil a new cover for the serial which I totally love and can’t wait to share.
So, thank you for your patience. It’s been difficult trying to get the stories moving again, but I will succeed. The characters just have to be pushed along a bit.
The Results Are In
Well, it’s February 13th and the results for amazon’s contest have officially posted. Unfortunately neither I nor Lisa made the second round but this was a good learning experience for us both. I’d like to take this moment to congratulate those who did and wish them luck as they wait to hear if they’ll make it to the semi-finals. Perhaps We’ll make the cut next year. For now we’ll continue to work on our various projects and give you more to see here at the site. Next up for me is chapters 5-8 of Rogue Hunter look for it this weekend. Till then happy reading.
Hey, It Works!
Apologies for the delay, folks. I was having issues with the server connection timing out last night and couldn’t post as scheduled. That issue is now resolved (yay!) and I’ve posted Episode 25 of Spartans: The AWOL Squad.
DID Isn’t Forgotten
The first chapter of His Revenge, the fifth installment of Descent Into Darkness, will be posted as soon my timeline stops rewriting itself. This was something I encountered with His Command, where my starting point for the story kept resetting itself as the plot developed — and I realized that there were a few things I needed to seed earlier than the original first chapter despite all my outlining. Unlike that previous instance, however, I’m lacking backlog to post while I work out the kinks. Thus AWOL has made a reappearance in the posting schedule. Please be patient with me while I work this out and enjoy the offering.
Most of the kinks I’m dealing with surround a new character, one who is scripted to play a significant role much later on. His backstory is more in-depth than some of the characters I’ve introduced, his motivations heavily rooted in certain events of his past, and while the details are vital to his portion of the story, they do draw attention away from the focal character(s) of the series — Ba’tvian, or, as some see it, Ba’tvian and Nerisse. Because of that, I’m contemplating writing a short story for just this character for online posting. It would relieve His Revenge of the burden of introducing a new character, and may just straighten out those kinks I keep running into.

Having A Bit of Trouble Here…
I’m supposed to have an update today but have been unable to load it on my site, DorisRoss.com. The server is moving super slow and the back-end screens keep timing out. Maintenance was being run by the hosting service earlier; that may or may not have something to do with it. It’s gone on for a few hours now. So apologies for the delay, but my post will have to be postponed until tomorrow evening. Hopefully, by that point the issue will have been resolved.
